Requirements for ESMOE

Any facility requiring onsite ESMOE training needs to have the following: 

• A set of mannequins (these can be shared between facilities).  MEPI has provided the funding to procure a travelling kit which the master trainers can use at the peripheral hospitals.
• Data projector and computer  

The facility will have to have access to at least one ESMOE Master trainer, who will have been through a Master trainer course, and will have access to the lectures, videos and the facilitator’s manual. 

The first step in achieving wide coverage of ESMOE is therefore to train a group of Master trainers for KZN, who will then be responsible for the training in the various institutions.

This training of Master Trainers is the focus of the MEPI-funded ESMOE programme in KZN.
