Prof Phil LaRussa 

Clinical Paediatrics Professor, Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons and Attending Physician at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork Presbyterian. 

Area of interest: Paediatric HIV infection and Childhood immunizations


Prof Scott Hammer 

Harold C. Neu Professor of Medicine, Professor of Epidemiology and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. 

Area of interest: Development of improved therapies for persons with HIV infection and an HIV vaccine to prevent the acquisition of HIV infection. 

Their valuable contributions in the MEPI programme include:

  • Technical assistance with the curriculum revision 
  • Access to Columbia’s online research and basic epidemiology  teaching which has been explored   by Nursing for use for their undergraduate curriculum     
  • Content Teaching of future distance-education course content.
